Hi there, I’m Speckle! My mum and siblings were brought to Little Paws when we were just a few weeks old.
Our foster mum was absolutely amazed - we’re an entire litter of tiny moo cows, just like our mum! However, I am a little different from the rest of my litter, as I am the only White and Black – everyone else is Black and White! So, I do stand out in the crowd.
I am a playful kitten, and my foster mummy is always laughing at the commitment that I have to playing with toys. I take a moment or two before I play but once I feel like it is my turn I will jump in and show off my skills. I am particularly intrigued by non-cat toys like pegs and pens and will eagerly dart towards them when they have been dropped for a playful session. If these unconventional items aren’t available, I happily make do with the cat toys provided for me.
I tend to be a bit of a joiner so whenever any of my siblings decide to have a kneading party on the soft fluffy blanket, I can’t resist jumping in to show them how it is done the right way! If the other kittens are getting pats you bet, I will be right there to get my share. If they are playing with a toy, well, I am not to sit out – I’ll join in without hesitation!
Did I mention that I love food, and I will be in the kitchen behind the two-legged food bearer and wait patiently for my dinner to be made. If she takes too long, I’ll make sure she knows I am still there (patiently but with a hint of drama) waiting as though I might starve any minute now!
I am a little more independent, so I am not a lap cat, I am what they call a couch cat. If you sit down, I will come and sleep on the couch. I do like to know what the humans in the house are up to so I will follow them around as they go from room to room as you never know they may sneak me a little treat and a quick pat whilst doing their chores.
All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
